District Court Judges Appointed
Pursuant to sections 14 and 31 of the District Court Act, Her Excellency the Governor-General is pleased to appoint:
Stephen James Bonnar qc
Barrister of Auckland, to be a District Court Judge to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the criminal Procedure Act 2011 commencing on 17 February 2021; and
Belinda Le Sellars qc
Barrister of Auckland, to be a District Court Judge to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the criminal Procedure Act 2011 commencing on 17 February 2021; and
Karen Selina Grau
Lawyer of Paekakariki, to be a District Court Judge to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the criminal Procedure Act 2011 commencing on 23 February 2021; and
Philip Raymond Rzepecky
Barrister of Auckland, to be a District Court Judge to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the criminal Procedure Act 2011 commencing on 24 February 2021; and
Pursuant to section 11 of the District Court Act and section 5(1) of the Family Court Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General is pleased to appoint:
Joanne Kay Hambleton
Barrister of Dunedin, to be a District Court Judge, to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the District Court and also to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Court commencing on 15 February 2021.
