Pursuant to section 49(1)(a), (b) and (c) of the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2019 the Chief Executive of the Ministry for Primary Industries gives notice of the issuing of the

• criteria on which the Chief Executive must satisfy themselves when deciding whether to approve an organisation as an approved mediation organisation;
• terms and conditions for approval of an organisation as an approved mediation organisation; and
• grounds on which the Chief Executive may suspend or cancel the approval of a mediation organisation.

The criteria, to approve, terms and conditions of approval, and grounds for suspension or cancellation of approval, of an approved mediation organisation is available on the Ministry for Primary Industries website (www.mpi.govt.nz/law-and-policy/legislation/the-farm-debt-mediation-scheme) and come into force 13 February 2020.
