In accordance with section 102 of the Social Security Act 2018, notice is given of the making of the following instrument by the Minister for Social Development and Employment.

This instrument, which came into force on 15 November 2020, amends the Employment and Work Readiness Assistance Programme established and approved on 6 March 2014. The amendment is to insert new definitions related to the New Zealand Seasonal Work Scheme. It also amends the Schedule to insert new kinds of assistance available for people offered employment under the New Zealand Seasonal Work Scheme by providing assistance with accommodation costs and incentive payments for eligible people, in order to encourage them to undertake seasonal work in New Zealand.

The instrument is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012.

This instrument is administered by the Ministry of Social Development.
