Exemption of Persons and Services From Requirements of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order 2020

1. Pursuant to clause 30 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order 2020 (“Order”), I, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health, hereby declare that the following persons are exempted from clause 9A of the Order:

  1. persons who are driving or operating the vehicle that is used for the purpose of carriage of passengers for hire or reward that is contracted or funded by the Ministry of Education, local authorities, school boards, managers of a private school, or Auckland Transport for the sole or primary purpose of transporting children to and from school; and
  2. persons, over the age of 12, who are using a vehicle for the purpose of carriage of passengers for hire or reward that is contracted or funded by the Ministry of Education, local authorities, school boards, managers of a private school, or Auckland Transport for the sole or primary purpose of transporting children to and from school.

The exemption will begin at 11.59pm on 18 November 2020 and cease at the revocation of clause 9A of the Order.

2. Pursuant to clause 30 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Level Requirements) Order 2020 (“Order”), I, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General of Health, hereby declare that the following services exempt from clause 9 of the Order:

  1. services provided for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward that is contracted or funded by the Ministry of Education, local authorities, school boards, managers of a private school, or Auckland Transport for the sole or primary purpose of transporting children to and from school.

The exemption will begin at 11.59pm on 18 November 2020 and cease at the revocation of clause 9 of the Order.
