Pursuant to clause 8C of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Air Border) Order (No 2) 2020 (“Order”), I, Dr Ashley Bloomfield, Director-General, Ministry of Health, hereby designate the following routes of travel between a place outside New Zealand and another place (in or outside New Zealand) as higher-risk routes:

1. Los Angeles and any airport in New Zealand
2. San Francisco and any airport in New Zealand

The designation will begin at 11.59pm on 5 October 2020 and cease at the end of the Order, or earlier as otherwise amended or revoked.
