Exemption of Persons From Requirements of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Levels 3 and 2) Order 2020

1. On 15 August 2020, the Director-General of Health granted individual exemptions numbers [090], [091], [101], [106], [111], [112], [119], [121], [123], [127], [128], [129], [137], [140], [151], [159], [160], [161], [162], [163], [164], [165], [166], [167], [168], [170], [171], [173], [174], [175], [176], [190], [191], [192], [198], [201], [205], [206], [207], [210], [211], [212], [215], [219], [220], [234], [237], [242], [254] to individuals under clause 27 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Levels 3 and 2) Order 2020.

  1. The exemptions commenced at 11.59pm on 15 August 2020 and ceases at expiry of the Order.
  2. The terms of these exemptions are these persons must travel from their home for the purpose of caring for or supporting a vulnerable person in the applicable location.
  3. The exemptions were granted with the following conditions: the individuals must travel for the purpose identified and the individual should travel as directly as reasonably possible to care for and/or support their relative.

2. On 15 August 2020, the Director-General of Health granted individual exemption number [014] to a group of individuals under clause 27 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Alert Levels 3 and 2) Order 2020.

  1. The exemption commenced at 11.59pm on 15 August 2020.
  2. The terms of the exemption [103] is that the individuals must travel into Auckland for the purpose of accompanying their mother to the Auckland airport. The individual must then return directly to Dunedin.
  3. The exemptions were granted with the following conditions: the individuals must travel for the purpose identified and the individual should travel as directly as reasonably possible to care for and/or support their relative.
