Pursuant to sections 11 and 14 of the District Court Act 2016, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:

Gordon Matenga, Coroner of Hamilton

as a District Court Judge, to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the court, and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, commencing on 19 March 2020.
