Pursuant to section 11 of the District Court Act 2016, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:

Quentin Cheyne Selwyn Hix, Barrister and Solicitor of Timaru

as a District Court Judge, to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the court, commencing on 29 February 2020.
