I, Hon Jenny Salesa, Minister for Building and Construction, give notice under section 409 of the Building Act 2004 (“Act”) that the following material is proposed for incorporation by reference in an Order in Council under section 41 of the Act that amends Schedule 1 of the Act:

• The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment’s Acceptable Solution B1/AS1 (1st edition, amendment 19)
• The Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment’s Verification Method B1/VM1 (1st edition, amendment 19).

The material to be incorporated can be viewed free of charge on the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment’s Building System Performance Website at: https://www.building.govt.nz/assets/Uploads/building-code-compliance/b-stability/b1-structure/asvm/b1-structure-1st-edition-amendment-19.pdf.

Copies of the material to be incorporated can be viewed free of charge during working hours or purchased from the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, 15 Stout Street, Wellington, 6011.
