Appointment of a Chief Commissioner, Deputy Chief Commissioner and Commissioners of the Criminal Cases Review Commission
Pursuant to section 9 of the Criminal Cases Review Commission Act 2019 and section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, The Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy, Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed:
Colin Robert Carruthers, qc, barrister of Wellington
as a Commissioner and the Chief Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of four years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Paula Mary Rose, qso, ostj, director of Canterbury
as a Commissioner and the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of five years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Kingi Denis William Snelgar, barrister of Auckland
as a Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of five years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Tangi William Edward Utikere, jp, Deputy Mayor of Palmerston North
as a Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of four years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Professor Tracey Kathleen Dorothy McIntosh, mnzm, professor of Auckland
as a Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of four years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Kenneth Nigel Hampton, cnzm, obe, qc, barrister of Christchurch
as a Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of three years commencing on 15 June 2020; and
Dr Virginia Hope, mnzm, medical director of Hastings
as a Commissioner of the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a term of three years commencing on 15 June 2020.
