Pursuant to Section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

1. Title

This notice is the Corrections (Auckland Prison) Notice 2020.

2. Commencement

This notice takes effect from the day after date of publication.

3. Auckland Prison

The land and the parts of the buildings described in the Schedule are declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Auckland Prison.

4. Revocation

The Corrections (Auckland Prison) Notice 2017 (New Zealand Gazette, 29 June 2017, Issue No. 69, Notice No. 2017-go3313) is revoked.

Auckland Prison

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 4.1581ha, more or less, being Lot 3 DP 64525, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title NA21B/219;

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 21.2474ha, more or less, being Section 1 SO 66967 and Lot 4 DP 24508, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title NA100C/864;

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 31.9155ha, more or less, being Section 1 SO 70641 and Part Allotment 681, Parish of Paremoremo, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title 663963;

All those parcels of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 54.6535 ha, more or less, being Sections 1, 2 and 3 SO 476557, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title 662468;

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 0.2412 ha, more or less, being Part Lot 10 DP 59580, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title NA108D/38;

All that parcel of land in the North Auckland Land Registration District containing 0.6400ha, more or less, being Section 1 SO 66966, and being all of the land comprised and described in Record of Title NA108D/127;

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the North Shore District Court situated on the land described in Record of Title NA128B/138;

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the Auckland High Court situated on the land described in Record of Title NA88C/879;

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the Auckland District Court situated on the land described in Record of Title NA60A/1051;

The cell block contained within the building complex known as the Manukau District Court situated on the land described in Record of Title NA88C/872.

This notice, which takes effect from the day after date of publication, is made under the Corrections Act 2004.

It declares the land and buildings described in the Schedule to be a prison known as Auckland Prison. This notice reflects a reduction in the land area of the Auckland Prison due to the transfer of land to a third party.
