Pursuant to section 2 of the Official Appointments and Documents Act 1919 and sections 11 and 14 of the District Court Act 2016, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint:

Joanne Elizabeth Rielly, Barrister and Solicitor of Havelock North

as a District Court Judge, to exercise the civil and criminal jurisdiction of the court, and also to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Court under section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, commencing on 11 June 2020.
