The appointment of Chanel Victoire Clarke and Gary Shane Te Ruki is made on the recommendation of the Minister for Māori Development, pursuant to schedule 1(2)(a) of the Act.

The reappointment of Paulette Joan Elliffe is made on the nomination by Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, pursuant to schedule 1(2)(b) of the Act.

The appointment of Professor Robin Affric Kearns is made on the nomination by the New Zealand Geographical Society Inc, pursuant to schedule 1(2)(c) of the Act.
