The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives notice that it has amended, under Part 4 of the Commerce Act 1986 (“Act”), the Electricity Distribution Services Default Price-Quality Path Determination 2020 [2019] NZCC 21.
The amendment is set out in the Electricity Distribution Services Default Price-Quality Path (Wellington Electricity transition) Amendments Determination 2020 [2020] NZCC 25 (“DPP Amendment Determination”).
The DPP Amendment Determination comes into force on 1 April 2021.
The DPP Amendment Determination makes Wellington Electricity Lines Limited (“Wellington Electricity”) subject (from 1 April 2021) to the default price-quality path that generally applies to regulated electricity distribution businesses. Wellington Electricity is subject to a customised price-quality path until 31 March 2021.
