Notice of Exemption From Maritime Rules and/or Marine Protection Rules

Pursuant to sections 47(3) and 395(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions from the Maritime Rules and the Marine Protection Rules during the period 9 January 2020 to 30 January 2020 inclusive:

Pilotage 90.23(2) Master of any ship must ensure that the ship carries a pilot who holds a current, appropriate pilot licence or receives advice from a pilot ashore or aboard another vessel, when navigating in that pilotage area 1
