In accordance with section 161(3) of the Land Transport Act 1998, notification is hereby given of the making of Land Transport Rule: COVID-19 Response (No 1) Amendment 2020 (“amendment Rule”).

The amendment Rule amends Land Transport Rule: COVID-19 Response (No 1) 2020 (“principal Rule”) to:

1. extend the benefits of the principal Rule to apply beyond the end of the key restrictions imposed in response to the outbreak of COVID-19; and
2. add certainty by fixing the dates that could have been determined by the Agency under the principal Rule.

The amendment Rule comes into force on 7 September 2020.
