Amending a Notice Amendment Number Three—Reflectorised Material Approved for Use on Traffic Signs
Pursuant to subclause 4.4(7) of the Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 and to a delegation from the NZ Transport Agency, I, Glenn Bunting, Manager Network Safety, amend the notice titled Amending a Notice Amendment Number Two—Reflectorised Material Approved for Use on Traffic Signs, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 November 2019, Notice No. 2019-au5345, by deleting
“24/05/2020”
and substituting
“28/06/2020”
Signed at Wellington this 1st day of May 2020.
GLENN BUNTING, Manager Network Safety.
Explanation: The interim approval dates for the reflective materials listed in Schedule 2 of the Gazette Notice (New Zealand Gazette, 5 October 2017, Issue No. 102, Notice No. 2017-au5196) had been extended and would expire on 24 May 2020 (New Zealand Gazette, 20 November 2019, Notice No. 2019-au5345).
Due to COVID-19 the testing of sheeting materials has been delayed meaning the original May 2020 date needs to be extended to 28 June 2020 to enable testing to be completed.
On 29 June 2020 a new notice detailing the approved reflective materials will be published at which time the Gazette Notice (New Zealand Gazette, 5 October 2017, Issue No. 102, Notice No. 2017-au5196) will be revoked to be replaced by the new notice.
