Notice of Final Determinations to Alter and Assign Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 19 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of final determinations to alter and assign the geographic names described in the Schedule below.

The Board’s final determinations on these geographic names took effect on 28 June 2019.

Disaster Burn

A stream flowing from NZTopo50-CD06 476470 to 490462 into Mica Burn, northwest of West Arm, Lake Manapouri, Fiordland National Park. Alteration from former position NZTopo50-CD06 486450 to 496446 and recorded name made official.

Terror Reef

An undersea reef at -52.5515 latitude, 169.1739 longitude, adjacent to Shoal Point in Perseverance Harbour on Campbell Island / Motu Ihupuku. Assigning an existing recorded name as official.
