Gazette.govt.nzPursuant to sections 65 and 66 of the Ngā Rohe Moana o Ngā Hapū o Ngāti Porou Act 2019 (“Act”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of altered official geographic names as described in the Schedule below.
The official geographic names took effect on 30 May 2019 being the commencement date specified in the Act. Pursuant to section 67 of the Act, the Board may in the future agree to alter any official geographic names listed in the Schedule below with the written consent of ngā hapū o Ngāti Porou.
