Pursuant to section 14 of the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012, I, Barry Harris, Chair of the National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) Limited Board (acting as the NAIT organisation), give notice that I have issued the NAIT Accreditation of Information Providers Standard and NAIT Accreditation of Entities Dealing with NAIT Animals Standard.

The NAIT Accreditation of Information Providers Standard dated 25 July 2019, and NAIT Accreditation of Entities Dealing with NAIT Animals Standard dated 25 July 2019, take effect on the date of publication of this notice and replaces the NAIT Accreditation Standard – Information Providers and Entities Dealing with NAIT Animals dated March 2012.

Transitional provisions for Accredited Information Providers and Accredited Entities to meet the requirements of the new Standards are specified in the Standards.

Copies of the NAIT Accreditation of Information Providers Standard and the NAIT Accreditation of Entities Dealing with NAIT Animals Standard may be obtained from the OSPRI website, www.ospri.co.nz.
