Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Richard Kempthorne, give notice of a local transition period over the Moutere-Waimea Ward in the Nelson-Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Group area owing to the effects of the Pigeon Valley Fire emergency.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 8.00am on Wednesday 27 February 2019, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 8.00am on 6 February 2019 for Nelson-Tasman Civil Defence Emergency Management Group area expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 8.00am on Wednesday 6 March 2019, unless extended or terminated earlier.
