Notice is hereby given of the making of an order amending the New Zealand Tariff, pursuant to section 9 of the Tariff Act 1988, to reflect the tariff treatment for the class of goods described as “Goods Re-entered after Repair or Alteration” agreed under the Agreement between Singapore and New Zealand on a Closer Economic Partnership.
1. Title of Order
The order is the Tariff (ANZSCEP) Amendment Order 2019.
The order will come into force on 1 January 2020.
3. Effect of Order
The order amends Part II of the Tariff. The amendment will grant duty-free tariff treatment, through a tariff concession under Part II by amending Concession Reference Number 66, for the class of goods described as “Goods Re-entered after Repair or Alteration” pursuant to Article 2.7 of the Agreement between New Zealand and Singapore on a Closer Economic Partnership (ANZSCEP) as amended by the Protocol to Amend ANZSCEP done at Singapore on 15 May 2019.
