Under section 37B(1)(c) of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I vary the approval to receive all types of craft and cargo, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 December 2005, No. 210, Page 5364, of PrimePort (located in the port of Timaru and operated by PrimePort Timaru Limited, CN: 38899) as a place of first arrival to receive the following craft types:

  • Bulk carriers
  • Container vessels
  • General cargo vessels
  • Livestock carriers
  • Naval/military vessels
  • Passenger vessels
  • Project craft (i.e. dredges, rigs)
  • Tankers
  • Other vessels (i.e. fishing, research)

that are able to discharge the following cargo types:

  • Bulk cargo
  • Bulk liquids
  • Containers
  • General cargo
  • Passengers, crew and baggage
  • Vehicles and machinery.

A copy of the written notice of approval may be inspected or obtained at the Ministry for Primary Industries, Charles Fergusson Tower, 34–38 Bowen Street, Wellington.
