Notice of Proposal to Issue and Amend Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods for Building Code Clauses B1, B2, E2, H1 and Associated Materials Incorporated by Reference

Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods Proposed to be Amended

Pursuant to section 29 of the Building Act 2004 (“Act”), I give notice amendments to the following Acceptable Solutions and Verification Methods:

  • B1 Structure: B1/VM1, B1/AS1, B1/AS3
  • B2 Durability: B2/AS1
  • E2 External Moisture: E2/AS4
  • H1 Energy Efficiency : H1/AS1, H1/VM1

New Material to be Incorporated by Reference

Pursuant to sections 409(2) of the Act, I give notice that the following materials are proposed to be incorporated by reference into the following Acceptable Solution and Verification Method:

The statement of proposal is also available from the Wellington office of the Ministry at 15 Stout Street, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

Purchase of Certain Material Incorporated by Reference

Certain material incorporated by reference described above may be purchased directly from Standards New Zealand, MBIE, 15 Stout Street, Wellington 6011, or online at: www.standards.govt.nz.

Hard copies of standards are not kept in stock for sale but may be ordered by following the directions online or by visiting MBIE’s Wellington office.

Availability of Remaining Material Incorporated by Reference

The NASH Enclosure Standard (National Association of Steel Frame Housing), is available for free from http://nashnz.org.nz/documents-for-purchase/.

Viewing Material Incorporated by Reference

Material incorporated by reference is available for inspection free of charge at 15 Stout Street, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
