Pursuant to the Education Act 1989, section 2(1) paragraph (c) of the definition of the term “domestic student”, the Education (Domestic Students) Notice 2013 published in the New Zealand Gazette, 31 January 2013, No. 11, page 383, is amended as follows:

By adding a new para (o) to clause 2:

(o) For the 2019 school year only, a child who arrived in New Zealand between 16 March 2019 and 12 May 2019 with their parents to support family members or close family friends who have been directly affected by the Christchurch mosque attacks.

This notice takes effect on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
