Section 231(1) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“Act”) provides that the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) may, by public notice, prescribe points of interconnection for the purposes of establishing fibre handover points.

The Commission hereby gives notice that, under section 231 of the Act, it prescribes the points of interconnection set out in the Commission’s full notice “Notice of points of interconnection under section 231 of the Telecommunications Act 2001” dated 19 December 2019.

The prescribed points of interconnection come into force on 20 December 2019.
