Notice of New and Altered Geographic Names for Heretaunga Tamatea Claims Settlement Act 2018

Pursuant to sections 51 and 52 of the Heretaunga Tamatea Claims Settlement Act 2018 (“Settlement Act 2018”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of new and altered official geographic names. The Schedule below specifies the details of the new and altered official geographic names.

The official geographic names took effect on 22 August 2018, being the settlement date specified in the Settlement Act 2018. Pursuant to section 53 of the Settlement Act 2018, the Board may in the future agree to alter any official geographic names listed in the Schedule below with the written consent of the trustees of Heretaunga Tamatea Settlement Trust.
