Under the Reserves Act 1977 and a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Operations Manager, Department of Conservation, Auckland, classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (carpark) reserve, and vests the reserve in the Auckland Council in trust for that purpose, subject to the Crown reserving the right to cancel the vesting if the reserve is ever required for a treaty settlement in terms of the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975.
