Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Craig James Watson, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 6.40pm on 20 February 2018 for Selwyn District owing to Cyclone Gita, heavy rain and high winds.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
