Pursuant to section 10(2) of the Tariff Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Commerce, the Chief Customs Officer, Revenue and Assurance of the New Zealand Customs Service gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title – This notice is the Tariff (Statistical Requirements) Amendment Notice (No. 3) 2018.
  2. Commencement – This notice comes into effect on 1 January 2019.
  3. Statistical Keys of Certain Tariff Items Amended – The Tariff is hereby amended by revoking the statistical key codes represented by Tariff items and codes:

Explanatory Note

This notice amends the statistical key codes, unit and description of the Tariff items specified in this notice and has been put in place to reflect changes in the classes of gases subject to the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme 2017 Climate Change Responses Act 2002. Some administrative amendments are also included.
