In the matter of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal:

Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“Act”), notice is hereby given that on 23 November 2016, the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered, pursuant to section 242(1)(e) of the Act, that Richard Zhao be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, or as both, for a period of four months commencing 1 December 2016.

On 17 August 2017 the High Court formally issued a judgment which recorded the appeal against this order had been dismissed. Accordingly, the order that Richard Zhao be suspended from practice stands.
