Notice is hereby given of the making, pursuant to clause 16 of Schedule 3 to the Customs and Excise Act 2018, of an order setting out the Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table to apply from 1 October 2018.

Notice

1. Title of order—This order is the Excise and Excise-equivalent Duties Table Order 2018.

2. Commencement—The order will come into force on 1 October 2018.

3. Effect of order—This order carries over the rates of excise and excise-equivalent duty set out under the Customs and Excise Act 1996, amended as stipulated in the Customs and Excise Act 2018. This order is part of the technical transition process from the Customs and Excise Act 1996 to the Customs and Excise Act 2018.

4. Availability—A copy of the order can be viewed on the New Zealand Customs website, www.customs.govt.nz, or be ordered by mail from New Zealand Customs Service, PO Box 2218, Wellington 6140. Attention: Corporate Services.
