Under section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989, the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 10 August 2017, Issue No. 80, Notice No. 2017-go4106) directing the Secretary for Education to appoint a limited statutory manager for the Hillcrest School Board of Trustees is amended by replacing all of paragraphs 1 and 2 of the notice with the following:

“1. The following functions, powers and duties of the Board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

1. All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
2. all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise);
3. all functions, powers and duties of the board to establish policies and procedures (whether statutory or otherwise); and
4. all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise).

2. A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:

1. Board communications (whether statutory or otherwise).”

This notice takes effect on the date of publication.
