Pursuant to section 395(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions on 28 September 2017:

• 1 from Marine Protection Rule 300.61(1) – Ballast Water Management – Schedule of surveys – Initial survey before ship is put into service or an IBWM certificate is issued.
• 1 from Marine Protection Rule 300.80(2)(g) – Ballast Water Management – Plans and record books – Approval of ballast water management plan by the Director.
