The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) gives notice that pursuant to section 96B of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) amends the following Group Standards:

• Cleaning Products (Subsidiary Hazard) Group Standard 2017 – HSR002530 is amended by the addition of the word “Standard” in “Cleaning Products (Subsidiary Hazard) Group Standard 2017” under clause 1.
• Solvents (Flammable, Toxic [6.7]) Group Standard 2017 – HSR002652 is amended by the addition of the words “acute toxicity, HSNO 6.1D or 6.1E classification” in clause 4(4)(a).
• Surface Coatings and Colourants (Flammable, Toxic [6.1]) Group Standard 2017 – HSR002667 is amended by the replacement of the words “metallic corrosivity, HSNO 8.1A classification” with the words “skin irritancy, HSNO 6.3A or 6.3B classification”.

The amendments to these Group Standards were approved by the EPA on 24 April 2018 and take effect on 28 May 2018.
