The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) gives notices that:

1. pursuant to section 96B of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“Act”), the EPA amends the Graphic Materials Group Standard 2009 – HSR008053 as follows:
   1. all references to “Medical Officer of Health” are replaced with “Environmental Protection Authority”;
   2. all references to “Environmental Risk Management Authority” are replaced with “Environmental Protection Authority”; and
2. pursuant to clause 5 of Schedule 7 of the Act, the EPA has reviewed and, for the purpose of updating, amends and reissues the Graphic Materials Group Standard 2018 – HSR008053.

The amendment to the Group Standard was approved by the EPA on 19 December 2017 and the Group Standard was approved for reissue by the EPA on 24 April 2018. The amendment and reissue take effect on 28 May 2018.

The Graphic Materials Group Standard 2018 – HSR008053 may be inspected free of charge during normal business hours at the EPA office, purchased from the EPA, or viewed in full at www.epa.govt.nz.
