Amending a Notice—Physiotherapy Board (Fees) Notice 2017
Pursuant to section 132(1) of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (“Act”), I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 October 2016, Issue No. 97, Notice No. 2016-gs6096, as amended by the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 January 2017, Issue No. 4, Notice No. 2017-gs229, by replacing:
“1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Physiotherapy (Fees) Notice 2017 and shall come into force on 1 April 2017. Accreditation fees shall come into force from 15 February 2017.”
with:
“1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Physiotherapy (Fees) Notice 2017 and shall come into force on 1 April 2017. Accreditation fees shall come into force from 15 February 2017. Re-accreditation fees shall come into force from 15 August 2017.”
and adding at the end of the Schedule:
“Re-accreditation fees
The fees payable for an application for re-accreditation of an educational institution that is accredited by the Board to provide any 1 or more qualifications prescribed by the Board under section 12 of the Act will be an amount sufficient to reimburse the Board for all costs and expenses actually and reasonably incurred for the purpose of assessing and evaluating such educational institution and its degrees and courses of study relating to physiotherapy. Such costs and expenses may include, without limitation:
a. professional fees for services of accreditation panel members;
b. travel, accommodation, and travel-related costs incurred by accreditation panel members in connection with site visits; or
c. administration expenses for teleconference meetings, printing, postage, and communications.”
