Amendments to the Rules of New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association Incorporated
Pursuant to sections 29–32 of the Racing Act 2003, notice is given that the following rules of New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association have been amended effective from 29 May 2017.
There have been a large number of amendments made to the rules, very few of which are substantive. The vast majority of amendments are minor and in the nature of tidy up changes to make the rules a comprehensive standalone document following the removal of the Constitutional Rules. For example, the rules have been renumbered and rules 5–17 have been brought back from an earlier version of the rules.
The substantive changes are:
Definitions
General Manager is no longer current and should be substituted as required through the rules with CEO and his/her delegate.
Warn Off means to direct that a particular person shall not be permitted to enter or remain on any part of the ground or premises where a Greyhound Meeting or trial is being held. Warning off and Warned off shall have corresponding meanings.
Rules
11.2, 11.3,11.4 – Deleted. This rule was concerned with the allocation of prize money.
12.2 – Changed “Kennel Steward” to “Kennel Official”.
19.1 – Removed the time restraint on nominations.
19.2 – Removed the manner of how nominations can be made.
24.1 – Changed to add that the winning percentages of prize money will be published from time to time in the New Zealand Greyhound Racing Association’s magazine.
22.8 – Deleted. This rule was concerned with field size.
27.4 – Changed to allow the CEO to authorise an Invitation race.
59.7 – Deleted. This rule was concerned with notifying tribunal decisions in the magazine.
62.4c – Changed “himself” to “themselves”.
79 – Deleted. This rule required a disqualified or Warned Off person to deliver their licence.
