Guidelines in Relation to Reviews of Local Authority Representation

On 9 June 2017 the Local Government Commission (“Commission”) issued the sixth edition of its Guidelines to Assist Local Authorities in Undertaking Representation Reviews.

The guidelines have been issued under section 19ZI of the Local Electoral Act 2001.

They identify factors and considerations for local authorities to take into account in making determinations under any of the provisions of sections 19H to 19JB and Schedule 1A of the Local Electoral Act 2001.
