Notice of Initiation of Review of Anti-dumping Duty on Imports of Preserved Peaches from China
Pursuant to section 14(8) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and acting under delegated authority from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, I have initiated a review of the imposition of anti-dumping duties on the goods described in the Schedule to this notice (“goods”). This initiation follows the receipt of an application made by the New Zealand industry providing positive evidence justifying the need for a review.
Anti-dumping duties were due to lapse on 17 July 2017 unless the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment initiated a review of the continued need for these duties.

Description of Goods
Peaches in preserving liquid, in containers up to and including 4.0kg.
The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item 2008.70.09 and Statistical Key 00L, which classification is provided for convenience and New Zealand Customs Service purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
