Pursuant to section 11G(2)(d) of the Education Act 1989 (“Act”), I hereby give notice of the following amendments to the Secretary’s Instructions issued under section 11G(1) of the Act:

1. The final date for lodging applications for pre-enrolment for the following year is amended from 15 October to 18 October in 2017 (for 2018 enrolments) and 2018 (for 2019 enrolments); and
2. a new clause prohibits the seeking of donations in respect of enrolment applications from out-of-zone students.

This notice shall come into force the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
