Pursuant to section 52 of the Legislation Act 2012, the Chief Executive, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, gives notice that the following standards are incorporated into the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.

The Regulations were made on 26 June 2017.

The following table sets out where these standards are incorporated in the Regulations and the internet site addresses where the standards can be purchased:

Oil Burners

Minimum performance standard:

UL 296: 2017 Standard for Oil Burners

Gas cylinders

Testing standards options:

BS EN ISO 407:2004 Small medical gas cylinders. Pin index yoke-type valve connections.

Pressure regulators

Minimum performance standard:

BS EN 16129:2013 Pressure regulations automatic change-over devices, having a maximum regulated pressure of 4 bar with a maximum capacity of 150kg/h, associated safety devices and adaptors for butane, propane and their mixtures.

These standards are available for inspection, at no charge, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays), at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment Office located at 15 Stout Street, Wellington 6140.
