Pursuant to sections 11 and 14 of the District Court Act 2016, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

Thomas James Gilbert, Acting District Court Judge

Paul Gerard Mabey, qc, Acting District Court Judge

each to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials pursuant to section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, commencing on 22 June 2017.
