Pursuant to section 9(3) of the Telecommunications Act 2001 and section 28(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has reappointed

Dr Stephen John Gale, of Wellington

as Telecommunications Commissioner and a member of the Commerce Commission for a three year term commencing on 12 July 2017 and expiring on 11 July 2020.
