Pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Lianne Audrey Dalziel, extend the state of local emergency declared at 6.00pm on 15 February 2017 for the Christchurch City and Selwyn District, owing to the fire on the Port Hills and surrounding area.

The state of local emergency is extended for seven days immediately before the expiry of the original declaration.

This state of local emergency expires at 6.00pm on 1 March 2017.
