Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Hamish Crichton McDouall, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 5.00pm on 4 April 2017 for the Whanganui District owing to a flood and rain event.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
