Pursuant to section 43(2)(g) of the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) Act 2016, the Minister of Police gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) (Specified Agency) Notice 2017.

2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on 1 April 2017.

3. Interpretation—In this notice:

Ministry for Vulnerable Children, Oranga Tamariki means the Department of the Public Service responsible for the care and protection of vulnerable children and young people.

specified agency has the same meaning as in section 43(2) of the Child Protection (Child Sex Offender Government Agency Registration) Act 2016.

4. Consultation—The Privacy Commissioner has been consulted on the content of this notice.

5. Approval of specified government agency—The Ministry for Vulnerable Children, Oranga Tamariki is identified as a specified agency.
