Pursuant to section 87J(3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 41(1) of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 November 2016, I give notice that, having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider varying the Scheduled International Air Service Licence held by that airline in order to allow the airline to operate services to open destination points in Japan. This will allow the airline to operate to Haneda Airport, Tokyo, Japan.

Any person wishing to make representations to the Minister of Transport relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, PO Box 3175, Wellington, or email airservices@transport.govt.nz, on or before 7 April 2017.

Dated at Wellington this 9th day of March 2017.

SONYA van de GEER, Principal Adviser, Aviation and Security, Ministry of Transport.
