Pursuant to section 32 of the Corrections Act 2004, the Minister of Corrections gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Corrections (Arohata Prison) Notice 2017.

2. Commencement—This notice takes effect from 6 March 2017.

3. Arohata Prison—The land and the parts of the buildings described in the Schedule are declared to be a corrections prison to be known as Arohata Prison.

4. Revocation—The Penal Institutions (Arohata Prison) Notice (No 2) 1998* is revoked.

Arohata Prison

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 32.0552ha, more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part Section 34, Porirua District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 46C/286, Wellington Land Registry;

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District containing 24.2862ha, more or less, situated in the City of Wellington, being part Section 32, Porirua District, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title 46C/384 limited as to parcels, Wellington Land Registry; and

All that parcel of land in the Wellington Land District shown on SO 508701 and marked “A”, being part of Lot 1 on DP 89355 and contained within Certificate of Title 59668, Wellington Land Registry.

This notice takes effect from 6 March 2017. The requirement for a new notice reflects the reallocation of a portion of land within Rimutaka Prison to Arohata Prison.
