Revoking a Section of State Highway and Declaring a Section of State Highway—State Highway 20, Auckland

Pursuant to section 103 of the Land Transport Management Act 2003, the NZ Transport Agency gives notice that, with effect on and from 23 March 2017:

  1. The declaration as State highway of the section of State Highway 20 described in the First Schedule is revoked; and
  2. the sections of road described in the Second Schedule are declared to be part of State Highway 20.

First Schedule

That section of State Highway 20 in Auckland City, commencing on existing State Highway 20 at a point (Route Position (RP) 10/9.135) approximately 100m south-east of Ernie Pinches Footbridge and extending in a generally westerly direction along State Highway 20 to Richardson Road (at “old” RP 10/9.859), including the section of State Highway 20 extending in a generally north-easterly direction along Sandringham Road Extension to Stoddard Road; a total distance of approximately 0.870km.

Second Schedule

In the northbound direction that section of newly constructed road in Auckland City, commencing on an existing section of State Highway 20 (at RP 10/9.135) approximately 100m south-east of Ernie Pinches Footbridge and extending in a generally northerly direction through the northbound (westernmost) Waterview Connection road tunnel to a point (at “new” RP 20/4.10) approximately 176m north of the northern daylight portal of the northbound tunnel; a total distance of approximately 4.63km.

In the southbound direction that section of newly constructed road in Auckland City, commencing on an existing section of the State Highway 16 eastbound off-ramp to Great North Road, approximately 553m east of the eastern abutment of the Rosebank Bridges and extending in a generally southerly direction through the southbound (easternmost) Waterview Connection road tunnel to an existing section of State Highway 20 (at RP 10/9.135) approximately 100m south-east of Ernie Pinches Footbridge; a total distance of approximately 5.39km.
